Kauai Day 5

We went snorkelling at Beach House today. It was INCREDIBLE. The water was clear and the fish were fantastic. Was hoping to come across a sea turtle (we saw one from the road swimming there yesterday), but no such luck today. I was a tiny bit disappointed, but had an excellent time spotting fish. Would have loved to snorkel all day, but the combination of breathing through the snorkel and the sun baking my head and back, and the swells of the ocean made me feel kind of nauseous so I had to crawl out after about 1.5 hours. We watched a fisherman fish from the point using bread as bait. He caught a fish every time he cast out. Didn't keep any, though. He did let Nathan and Andrew touch the last one he caught before throwing it back. Nathan said it felt like sandpaper. After the beach, we headed back to the villa for lunch and swimming and then HARRY POTTER! We found a theatre in Lihue that was showing it, so Aaron, Christine, Michael, Peter, Kelly, Chantelle, Nola, Michae and I went for it. I got in trouble for taking pictures of us sitting in the theatre (the guy wanted to take my camera until the end of the movie, but I wouldn't let him), and Michael had to give up the can of pop he brought in (they kept it in a cooler for him until the movie was over). I'm not used to having theatre police at the movies. LOL. The movie was FANTASTIC. Can't wait to see it again when I get home. We went shopping at Hilo Hatties and at Wal-Mart and then it was time to go to the airport to pick Mom up. Chantelle and Nola wore their new mumus to greet her. Glad to have everyone here now.
